CCHF Family Camp

CCHF’s first major in-person event since the pandemic shut things down more than a year ago will be our Family Camp, September 10-12, at the brand-new Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca.

Families who would like to attend must apply by no later than Thursday, June 10th. Before you apply, please read the following carefully to make sure you fully understand your financial responsibility. This is not a free event:

• Participation is limited to families who reside full-time in CCHF’s service area. No exceptions.

• Participation is limited to immediate families (all participants must reside full-time in the same household).

• Participation is not guaranteed. Families whose applications are approved will be required to pay a $100 deposit to CCHF by July 9th. The deposit will be returned to families in the form of a Great Wolf gift card when they arrive. The card can be used to cover incidental expenses at the hotel. Families who cancel their participation will forfeit the deposit.

• Here is what CCHF will pay for: Two night’s lodging, including taxes and the daily resort fee. Each participating family will receive one $50 resort gift card per child to pay for kids’ activities and one $75 resort gift card for each family member to help with meal expense. There will also be two group breakfasts paid for by CCHF.

• All other expenses—dinner Friday night, lunch and dinner on Saturday, snacks, beverages and activity fees and costs such as Build-A-Bear Workshop—that exceed the value of the gift card(s) will be your responsibility. Great Wolf is not inexpensive. This could easily amount to $100 or more per-person of out-of-pocket expense for you. These additional expenses will be charged to your credit/debit card (which you will be required to present to the hotel at check-in). The hotel will place a $200 hold on your credit/debit card for incidentals when you check in.

• Most sleeping rooms will accommodate 1-4 people. Some larger rooms will be available. You will not be permitted to bring in outside food and drink.

• Due to the cost of this event, CCHF will not be providing transportation or gas cards.

• All locally required health and safety precautions will be observed. Face masks most likely will still be required and participating families must agree to follow all guidelines and to sign a waiver of liability.
